Hi there, I'm Nicole! Just a 23-year-old soul on a quest to unravel the mysteries of everything that makes us human. I'm all about diving into emotions, flaws, and finding the beauty in the chaos. Join me on this wild ride!

Growing up, I used to think mental health was just a made-up thing, like an excuse for seeking attention. It never occurred to me that taking care of it could actually make a big difference in how you see the world and live your life. I only really started looking after my mental health after my first serious breakup sent me spiralling into a deep depression. My family doesn't believe in depression or therapy, so it was tough for me to figure out how to help myself. I turned to watching a ton of YouTube videos on the topic to cope with the loneliness I was feeling. It was through educating myself on mental health that I realized I had been struggling with it throughout majority of my teenage years. I learned that not everyone felt the same way I did or experienced those dark periods where life seemed pointless.

I started looking into ways to improve my mood and escape my depressive mindset. And through my research I discovered that there are many, many ways to improve your mental health. Just a heads up, everyone is different, so what works well for one person might not work at all for another. But with all these options to help your mental health, I'm confident we'll find something to shift your perspective and bring you some inner peace.

For me... that was the discovery of Meditation. Looking back now, it's difficult to imagine a time where I did not think about my mental health at all. It's quite hilarious to think back to my first few attempts at meditation, when I was too nervous to even try it in private on our farm (Like seriously, no one was within a mile's radius to witness my akwards attempts).

Nowadays, I meditate almost every day to kick off my day or to wind it down. Since starting this journey I have discovered many more things that have helped me along the way and I cannot wait to delve deeper into this blog and discuss all of them with you. Today I prioritise my mental health, and although I still have a lot of things from my past that I need to deal with I have been on a journey of great self-discovery, and am more excited about the future than ever before.

Stay tuned for all things mental health related....

This blog is a journey I am so excited to take on, because even though I know I still have so much to learn I am extremely passionate about helping others, and I am beyond excited to create a community where people can share their mutual feelings and feel heard, especially since I know how it feels to be ignored or not have anybody to speak to.
